The French Parliamentary Office for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Choices (OPECST) has made public a report drafted in 2010 on the effects on human health and the environment of the exposure to electro magnetic field emitted by the transmission lines. The issue might not be a new one, it is however crucial to address this other aspect of power generation and transmission. The SEL Notebook will come back to this topic.
